Track Cleaning Block!

Cleaning trackwork is an important but often overlooked task - It keeps our locos and rolling stock clean and working well - But using a harsh, hard cleaner can actually damage the railhead leaving micro scratches which fill with dirt, grime and other nasties - meaning you have to clean MORE!

But fear not… we have the solution!
Our Track Cleaning Block not only cleans, but it also polishes the railhead! You can see this happening when you use it! When combined with a high nickel content track system cleaning need not be a ‘daily chore’ any longer!

 

 

 

Scale Ruler & Handrail Jig

More than ‘just a ruler’ - This is actually a PRECISION bending jig for accurately sized scale bars and handrails! The increments are set ‘in scale’ so there’s no need to get the calculator out to work out the scale conversion! It’s right there in front of you! The very fine laser-cut holes are 0.3mm or a little under 1 scale inch in diameter, and the increments from 6” to 4 feet in handrail length are 1” too… making ANY handrail size easy to do accurately. The same precision exists in the larger lengths, allowing handrails of up to 18ft long to be created with steps of 3” or 1mm! It’s stainless steel and will absolutely stand the test of time!

Adding weight to a wagon or van can dramatically improve its running characteristics. In many cases it can even stop a piece of rolling stock from derailing over troublesome trackwork!
Real life railway vehicles are HEAVY - They NEED heft in order to stay on the rails!

 

So why should our models be any different? Adding weight is easily one of the most effective and simple ways to improve rolling stock running characteristics. It works with most ready to run vehicles, and can be used to give some much needed weight to kit-built vehicles too!

 

There’s numerous ways to add the genuine lead-shot to a model, adding it as an undercoat base for a wagon load, or removing the roof of a van and adding it to the interior - You can even construct ‘boxes’ from plasticard and add them to the undersides!  Brilliant!

Our ULTIMATE TRACK CUTTERS are capable of making short work of cutting track rails to the perfect length! The HTC can be used to cut track that is already laid, and, because the cutting area is much larger when track is cut this way, it makes a more reliable cut! its also got a heavier jaw structure, and slightly different cutting angle on the blade!
